Eddie Lee “Bubba” Cain, age 69, of Elkhart, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, the 9th day of March 2025, after a short bout with cancer. He was a beacon of light and strength, born on the 1st day of March 1956, in Houston, Texas, to parents Ed Cain and Claudine Beal.

Bubba dedicated many years to the oilfields, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family and his faith. He was a man of deep faith and commitment, an active member of Grapeland Baptist Church, where he contributed his time and energy. Bubba's courageous spirit, especially in the face of his illness, served as an inspiration, and his legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of many.

An outdoorsman at heart, Bubba found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Fishing and deer hunting were not just hobbies for him; they were passions that allowed him to connect with nature. Bubba's happiest moments were those spent surrounded by his loved ones, sharing stories and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ed Cain and sister, Glenda Cain.

Bubba is survived by a family who cherished him dearly: mother, Claudine Cain; daughter, Hailey Cain and son-in-law Jonathan; son, Joshua Lee Cain; sisters, Debbie Gilbert and her husband Gordon, and Sharon Cleland; and his adored grandchild, Skylar Cain. Bubba's role as a father, brother, and grandfather was marked by an unwavering dedication and a gentle guidance that shaped the lives of his family.

A graveside service to celebrate Bubba’s life is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 14th day of March 2025 at Mrytle Springs Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas. Bro. Wayne Stewart will be officiating the service.
