Mary Ann Loughner Obituary

Mary Ann Loughner, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 9, 2025. Her heart touched everyone she met, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories.

Mary Ann was a lifelong member of Jeannette Assembly of God. Mary Ann devoted much of her life to serving others. Her unwavering faith was reflected in her dedication as the superintendent of Sunday School, Missionette leader, Sunday school teacher, funeral banquet coordinator and Vacation Bible School coordinator. Through her service, she touched countless lives and helped shape the faith of generations.

Mary Ann had a gift for making others feel loved and cared for. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love and devotion to her family were unmatched. Prior to her retirement, Mary Ann was a janitor for the Hempfield Township school district.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Cambell, and Norma Deemer, grandaughter, Jill Selembo Mariani, infant granddaughter, Missy Dominiczak, son-in-law, Ed Novak.

Mary Ann will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 67 years, Huey P. Loughner, children, Jeannie (Bill) Selembo, Cynthia (Bob) Lou Oplinger, Huey Logan (Lois) Loughner, Mary Lou (Ed) Novak, Susan Marie (Gary) Love, Debra Ann (Bob) Dominiczak, siblings Geraldine Clemens, Rose Christner, Pete (Kathy) Clemens, Shirley (Barry) Rohm.

She was a proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Family and friends will be received from 1pm-4pm Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Vaia Funeral Home Inc., 463 Athena Dr. Delmont, (724-468-1177), followed by a service at 4pm at the funeral home.
