Suzanna Manuel, 84, of Lexington, passed away on March 9, 2025 at her home. Surviving is her husband of 66 years, William Manuel. She was born on March 11, 1940 in Lexington, Ky to the late Harry Laganowski and Rachel Mossbarger Laganowski. 

Suzanna graduated from Henry Clay High School and was a member of Bethany Baptist Missionary Church in Lexington. Suzanna was spicy and full of life. She loved to shop and take road trips. She was so proud to be her husband’s “Short Baby” and adored her children and grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Suzanna is also survived by two daughters, Rachel Sebastian (Tim) of Lexington and Robin Harris (Anthony) of Nicholasville; son, Joseph Manuel (Jamie) of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Shawn Manuel (Kari), Branden Barnett, Joshua Tevis (Ashley), Millie Manuel, Latoyia Lewis, and Miles Manuel (Savannah); great-grandchildren, Kanen Tevis, Khyran Tevis, Jaeda Tevis, Braylon Manuel, Avery Manuel, Charlie Manuel, and Jaden Commodore; brother-in -law, Wade Manuel; sister-in-law Mary Lou Copher (Jim); and a host of nieces and nephews; Caregivers, Atoka Jones, Monique Irvin, Heather Harding, Karla Green, Chaka Travis, and Nettie Garcia. 

Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Bethany Baptist Missionary Church in Lexington with Pastor James Custard officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 AM on Monday until the time of service. 

Pallbearers will be Anthony Harris, Tim Sebastian, Shawn Manuel, Branden Barnett, Joshua Tevis, and Miles Manuel. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Pilgrim, Kanen Tevis, Khyran Tevis, Braylon Manuel, and Jaden Commodore.
