Age 86 of Pine City NY, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Barb was born in Elmira and raised in Sagetown (Pine City) a daughter of William and Garnet (Kaminsky) Hill. She is predeceased by her brother William Hill Jr. Barb is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Bernard E. Grebleski; sons, Scott Grebleski of Beaver Dams with Patricia Crowley, Todd Grebleski of Horseheads, with wife Margaret, Jeffrey Grebleski of Elmira with wife Colleen; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Ruth Hill of Horseheads; grandchildren, Sadie Harrison (A.J.) , Samantha Martini (P.J.), Grady Grebleski, Sarah Grebleski, Carlyn Grebleski, Spencer Grebleski, and Shea Grebleski; great-grandchildren, Eliza Harrison and Noah Martini; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dolores Ann and William Good of Elkhart IN; along with several nieces and nephews; and many life-long friends.
Barb was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Barb was active with her various interests, including decorating, crafts, gardening and golfing. She most enjoyed time spent at Seneca Lake and shopping with her grandchildren. Barb was an avid quilter, having created a multitude of quilts for famiy and friends. Barb worked for the Elmira College Alumni office for many years.
Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W Water Street, Elmira, on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment will then take place at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.
