Cecelia Marie McPhee

Cecelia M. McPhee, 87, of Bay City, our cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, the Carriage House. Ceil was born on January 7, 1938, the daughter of the late Edgar and Gladys (Cunningham) McPhee.

Ceil devoted the majority of her life to the service of others, embodying a spirit of compassion and dedication that touched the hearts of all who knew her. She earned her GED in her 30s, a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning. She spent many years working nights at Dow Chemical and dedicated nearly two decades as a noon aide at Hampton Elementary School, where she nurtured and inspired generations of children.

Outside of her work, Ceil was a vibrant soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored crocheting, sewing, and crafting, and she filled her home with love and creativity. Her adventurous spirit led her on travels across the country, where she made beautiful memories with her family. Ceil also enjoyed the thrill of bingo, bowling, and casino trips, and she embraced every opportunity to share laughter and connection with her friends and loved ones over a game of pool.

Ceil leaves to carry her legacy her children, Teri Campbell, Lori Wilson, Gerald Faulkner, Diane Faulkner (Joe Sabo); grandchildren, Tim (Jennifer) David, Randy (Jodi) Faulkner, Lynn Ann (John) Poff, Dylan Campbell, Amariona and Connor Campbell, Brooke Faulkner and Teresa Martinez; great-grandchildren, Tim David III, Emily David, Logan Faulkner, Bailey Faulkner; great-great-grandchildren, Sophia and Kynzlee; siblings, Jerry (Judy) McPhee, Linda Huggard, LeeAnn Coon; and nieces and nephews, Nicole Lawson, Scott Lawson and Stacy Ewald and her girls; great-nieces and nephews, Bruce Lawson, Alex Lawson, Tommy Lawson and Beatrice Lawson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Steve and David and her sister, Shirley Ciszek and son-in-law, Robert Campbell Jr.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. A memorial ceremony to take place later this summer.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Carriage House staff, nurses and CNA's for their outstanding care and compassion they gave to Ceil.
