Angela Lucille Vanek, age 93 of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Beloved wife of 50 years to Thomas; loving mother of Francine (Michael) Young, Dana (Nico Gallegos) Vanek and Greg Vanek; proud grandmother of Brian (Megan) Young and Kevin (Stephanie) Young; dear great-grandmother of Grant and Bennett Young. Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, Amatore and Frances DeVincenzo; and her sisters, Lucille Buzanis and Esther Appollo.

Angela enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. She also enjoyed watching EWTN, Law and Order and the Food Network. Angela enjoyed going to the casino and Vegas, which she was able to do at the age of 91 with her family. She was known for her many Christmas decorations, which she often kept up well into March each year. More than anything, however, Angela loved her family and was very proud of her grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass for Angela will be held at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church (480 S. Park Blvd. Glen Ellyn, IL) on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10 AM.
