James “Jimmy’ Vickers of Georgetown, Kentucky passed away at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington on March 9, 2025, he was 78 years old. He was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on June 3, 1946, to the late Roy and Alene (Moberly) Vickers.
He is survived by children, Jeff (Linda) Moore of Hernando, Florida, Kimberly (Tracy) Hicks of Harvest, Alabama, and a son in law Roger Smith of Georgetown. His grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Jakob Smith, Megan Hicks and Matthew Hicks. Jimmy is also survived by his siblings Eugene (Kathy) Vickers of Berea, Rick Vickers of McKee, Dallas Vickers of Texas, Jackie (June) Vickers of Lancaster, Leroy (Pam) Vickers of Ohio and Ona Mae Aubrey of Nicholasville.
In addition to his parents Jimmy is preceded in death by his loving wife Audrey, his daughter Stacey Smith and his siblings, Tommy Vickers, Bernice Vickers, Kathleen Parker and Kathy Neeley.
Funeral Services will be held on at 11 A.M. on Friday March 14, 2025, at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee. Burial will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery in Georgetown, Kentucky. A visitation will begin at 6 P.M. on Thursday at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers include James Neeley, Dewayne Parker, Aaron Vickers, Roger Smith, Robby Isaacs, Adam Duncan and Larry Stidam.
