Aug 16, 1947 – March 9, 2025

Richard L. Spochart, 77, of Roaring Spring, formerly of Bedford County, passed away Sunday.  He was born in Pittsburgh, son of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Presky) Spochart.  He married Beverly Crist in 1996.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years; two sons: Michael and wife Brandi in MD, and David and wife Nichole of Vinco; a step-daughter, Traci Osman of Alum Bank; two step-sons: Christopher Crilly and wife Jessica in VA, and Nathan Crilly and wife Cassidy in WI; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Walborn; and a twin brother, Robert.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald.

Rick graduated from East Juniata High School in 1965, and earned a BS in accounting from St. Francis University.

He worked as an accountant at Barnes Saly & Co., Mt. Alloysius, Altoona Pipe & Steel, Lockheed Martin, and the DeGol Organization.

Rick was a member of the Knights of Columbus Star of the Sea Council 4245.

He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Rick enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.

Friends will be received from 4-6pm on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, and from 10-11am Friday, March 14, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Newry, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am with Fr. Allen P. Zeth, Celebrant.
