Peggy Edwards, 92, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Deaconess Hospital Henderson. She was born in Henderson, Kentucky to the late Briscoe and Virginia Gill.

She married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Edwards, and together they raised a beautiful family. Peggy was a passionate and loving woman, and this was reflected through her love for her family and her dedication to educating children. As a preschool educator, she was well versed in the needs of children. Her love for education spanned into her personal life, as she was an avid reader of any literature she could get her hands on. Peggy enjoyed soaking in the sun on beaches. Above anything, Peggy loved spending time with her grand and great-grandbabies.

Peggy is survived by her son, Briscoe (Denise) Edwards of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Casey (Maddie) Edwards, Kaylin (Jacob) Hilen, Maddie Poshard, Katie Stoppelwerth, Glenna (Nate) Carlberg; great-grandchildren, Ian Carlberg, Gavin Carlberg, Davis Dietz, and Riley Edwards.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 40 years, William Marvin Edwards; son, Whitney Edwards; grandson, Jake Carlberg; and brother, Frank Gill.

At Peggy’s request, there will be no services at this time. Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel will be handling her arrangements.
