It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ray Miller Mason, who left us on 2/14/2025 at the age of 85. Ray was a beloved father whose warmth, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born on September 29,1939 in Joliet, Illinois to parents Ray M. Mason and Marjorie Elizabeth (Tedens). He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Caroline (Richards) Mason, his two daughters, Kelly Vasquez (Sergio) and Laura Arnold (Jim), 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and sister Dr. Mary Spencer (Don) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by 2 sisters, Martha Chapin and Anne Brothers.
Ray embarked on a remarkable career in marketing and part owner in Apollo Paper where he started his career in printing. Ray and Caroline then started a very successful company (R & C Printing) in Houston.
Ray grew up in Houston and graduated from Kinkade where he was all conference in baseball and basketball. He loved the outdoors and won many rewards. Ray met his wife Caroline on the golf course. They played all over the US and Canada. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home with 2 groups. Ray enjoyed reading and gardening and enjoyed attending all the Greater/Conroe Chamber of Commerce events. Ray was always at Caroline’s side.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Methodist Church Conroe (Caring and Prayer Dept or The Gathering Place). The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at HCA hospital for the exceptional care during this difficult time.
