Roy M. Cullen, Jr., 55, of Earlville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was born on October 8, 1969, in Poughkeepsie, NY., a son of Roy M. Cullen, Sr. and Joann Antoniadis (Miles) and was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, Class of 1988. Roy faithfully served his country in the US Army for 13 years.
He worked as a chef at the Mountainside Nursing Home, Margaretville, NY. Roy enjoyed fishing, music, coloring, painting and writing, especially poetry
He is survived by his companion with whom he shared 22 years together, Joann B. Cerra, his mother; Joann (Nick) Antoniadis, of Amsterdam, NY; children; Bryana Cullen, of FL., Emily (Taylor) Cullen, Kayla Cullen, all of Earlville, grandchildren; Shaelynne and Zayden, brothers; Thomas Cullen, of Poughkeepsie, NY, Shaun (Tarynn) Cullen, of Saratoga Springs, NY, brothers-in-law, Michael Hurley, of Wassaic, NY., Shane Finch, of Margaretville, NY., a sister-in-law, Barbra (Steve) Lattin, of Kingston, NY, several nieces and nephews, including; Camryn Finch, Brittany (Tyler) Holton, Rebecca and Jimmy Antoniadis. He is also survived by many cousins, community members and close friends, such as Benjamin Prinzivalli (Benny) and family.
He was predeceased by his sister, Shalay Hurley, on January 7, 2025, and his father, Roy M. Cullen, Sr., on February 6, 2007.
Services and interment with military honors will be held in the Earlville Cemetery, in the spring.
