LEWISTON—Jeannine (Robert) St. Marie, 89, of Lewiston, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at St. Mary's d'Youville Pavilion with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston on May 28, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Lucienne Robert. She was educated locally, graduating from St. Dominic Regional High School in 1953.
She married her high school sweetheart, Normand on April 28, 1956, and they made their home together in Lewiston raising five children. Jeannine worked various office positions (Bates Mill, Augusta State House, Holy Family Parish & TD Bank). She also enjoyed working in the school kitchen at Lewiston High School and Saint Dominic Academy.
Jeannine loved taking cross-country trips in the “Fun Van” with her husband, playing Mahjong with friends, making jigsaw puzzles and sipping on a glass of her husband’s homemade wine.
A member of Holy Family Parish and the Ladies of Ste Anne, she is survived by two sons, David and Daniel; two daughters, Pamela Kay (Brian) and Elaine LeBlanc; grandchildren, Nathan Kay (Kathryn), Sarah Roop (Stephen), Amy LeBlanc, Kevin LeBlanc (Kira), Savannah White, Roy White (Angela) and Madison St. Marie; and great grandchildren Wyatt, Owen and Lydia LeBlanc, Abigail and Andrew Kay, Charlotte, Maxwell and Bennett Roop, Morrigan and Imogen St. Marie, and Tatum, Oliver and Amelia White.
She was predeceased by her husband Normand, son Donald, parents and siblings.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Andwell Health Partners and 4E at d’Youville for the care of their mother.
At Jeannine’s request, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Sabattus St. in Lewiston, on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made payable to the Normand, Jeannine & Donald St. Marie Tuition Assistance Fund.
