Massena – With heavy hearts the family of Mary A. Miner, age 71, announce her passing on Friday evening (Feb. 14, 2025) at the Highland Nursing Home, Massena. A time of visitation will be held Saturday (Mar. 1st) from 6-6:45pm at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira, where Mary’s funeral service will commence at 7pm.

Mary was born in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Lyle & Ann (Billings) Ruff. She was a graduate of Potsdam High School. She later united into marriage with Ronnie Miner, he predeceased her January 11, 2017. Before relocating back to the north country in 1996, she was a bus driver for the New Milford School District.

Mary loved spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, fishing, horseback riding, attending cosmic bingo, and watching the Frogtown Races.

Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of her son Charles (Nicole) Miner of Winthrop, a daughter Yvonne (Blayne) Monroe of Massena, 17 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by a sister Lyla Chase of Potsdam, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a set of twin children who passed during their infancy, and a sister Helen.
