Donald G Tews Obituary

Donald G. Tews

“Don”

Donald G. Tews passed away at Agrace Hospice on October 15, 2015 due to complication of diabetes, heart failure and kidney disease. Loving husband, proud father, doting grandpa. Don was born on November 25, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI. He cherished his family and was especially proud of his sons, Bill and Tom. He treasured his grandkids, playing cards and games with them and was a frequent and avid spectator cheering them on in their sports and attending their events.

Over the course of his sales career that covered Wisconsin, Minnesota and Florida, he made many friends along the way. Don loved being with family and friends, traveling, summer in WI and winters in FL. He enjoyed barbershop music and was a member of the Neapolitan Barbershop Chorus and Paradise Coastmen in Naples, FL for many years. He leaves behind many friends and great memories. Nobody could tell a story or a joke like Don!

Predeceased by his parents, brother (William), stepfather (Earl Pom), stepbrother (Don Pom) and parents-in-law, he is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, sons, William (Dawn) and Thomas (Tricia), grandchildren Drew, Katie, Jon and Alex, sisters-in-law, Janice Tews and Nancy Mallien (John) and brother-in-law Gary Anderson (Debbie), nieces and nephew and many friends. Visitation is from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with services to follow at Foster Funeral & Cremation Services, 2109 Luann Lane, Madison, WI 53713 on October 17, 2015.

Special thanks to Agrace Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Don and his family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his memory to the American Diabetes Association or Agrace HospiceCare.
