He was a great man, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed being around family and friends and was always there for anyone at any time. He was huge on making it to family functions. OK, OK, he might have come for free food and cake, but he always showed. When he wasn’t at family gatherings, he cared for his children. He was there whenever they needed him. For a ride, to talk, to go on a drive with. He was always there, no matter what and no matter the time. Carmelo enjoyed the simple life. Besides family and friends, he loved summer and the hot sun. He would sit in the sun under the tree, people watching with his cat at his feet and his Buffalo Bills gear on. He LOVED sports, especially the Bills and Yankees. He would watch every game on TV, never missing. He could talk of games from years past. He was a sports fanatic. He enjoyed these games with his brothers and sons. They were very passionate about the games when they were on. All eyes on the games, no questions! When sports were over, Carmelo loved movies. His pastime favorite was horror movies; his favorite was Pinhead, and he would always yell “BOO”. He also enjoyed westerns like “Billy the Kid” and Sci-Fi movies. Carmelo was a jokester. He loved to joke around and roast people, and it didn’t matter if you were family, friends, or strangers; no one was safe. Carmelo was also a grandfather. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He made sure to go to every event that he could to support his grandchildren. He came to soccer games and parties and parks. He really was his kid's/grandkids' biggest supporter. Carmelo was an amazing man with a huge heart. He will be deeply missed. We love you, our father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. You truly were a treasure.
We love you, Dad.
