Juan Ramon Ortiz, age 53, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14th, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born September 4th, 1971, in Newark, New Jersey, to Juan Ramon Betancourt and Elizabeth Ortiz.
Juan was a devoted member of Mentanoya Church. He gave his life to Christ and attended regularly with his family Catalina, sister Chavy, her husband Xavier, as well as his mom Elizabeth. Juan truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He loved dogs, especially Max, Luna, and Artemis.
Juan is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Ortiz, sisters Isabel Orosco (Xavier), Lucy Guzman (Daniel), Marisol Tucker (Jon Jon), Waleska Ortiz, his daughters Iliana Ortiz, Courtney Dickson (Cody), granddaughter Kairi, nieces Amanda Salvio, Veronica Salvio, Marisabel Martinez, Yasmeen Plata, Jaylina Tucker, and nephew Alessandro Guzman.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Juan touched are invited to M.E. Rodriguez Funeral Home, 511 Guadalupe Street, San Antonio, TX 78207, on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. Visitation is from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. with a chapel service to be held at 6 p.m.
