Mary “Sue” Smith, 81, of Sumrall, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at 9:20 a.m. at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church of Sumrall with services immediately following at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Ms. Smith was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Sumrall. She was the owner and operator of A Family Affair Janitorial Services for 33 years before her retirement in 2008. She also loved music and was a professional bass player.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donnie and Viola Dickerson; and four siblings, Janie Marjean Hayes, Lewie Darce Dickerson, Geniva Irene Pridgen, and Bobby Ray Dickerson.
She is survived by two daughters, Angie Sue Jones and Amy Michele Tackett; one granddaughter, Amber Lacey-Brooke Hightower Adcock (Greg); four great grandchildren, Joel Gregory Adcock, Judah Luke Adcock, Jace Benjamin Adcock, and Judson William Adcock; and five siblings, Ovie Darl Dickerson, Naomi Kathleen Wilbourne, Jimmy Dale Dickerson, Betty Janelle Brown, and Annyce Elaine Browning.
