David Edward DiPietro, Jr Obituary

David E. DiPietro, Jr. known affectionately as David, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb 14, 2025, at his home in North Providence on February 14, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on July 22, 1976, in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the cherished son of David E. DiPietro, Sr. of Florida and Laurie (Sousa) DiPietro of North Providence. David's life was a testament to his loving nature, his unwavering faith, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.

David was a devoted father to his children, Dylan DiPietro and his fiancé Brianna George, and Angelea DiPietro. His role as a father was one he treasured deeply, and he instilled in his children the values of kindness, humor, and faith that he himself embodied. His love extended to his granddaughter, Isabella Rose DiPietro, who was a source of immense pride and joy in his life.

A beloved sibling, David is survived by his brother Jason DiPietro and his wife Erica, his brother Cory DiPietro, his sister Rachel DiPietro and Raymond McMann, Jr. He was a cherished uncle to Jonathon DiPietro, Madison DiPietro, and Juliette Raye, and he held a special place in their hearts. David was also the respected nephew of Walter L. Sousa, Jr. and Cathi-Jo Finnerty. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary DiPietro, and his maternal grandparents, Walter and Lorraine Sousa. David's memory will be held dear by his cousin, the late Lauren M. Finnerty, and by all those who knew and loved him.

For over two decades, David was a self-employed painter, a vocation through which he expressed his meticulous nature and his love for transformation. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were admired by all who worked alongside him.

David's faith was the cornerstone of his life. His commitment to God provided him with strength and solace, knowing that he would be welcomed into eternal life with his Lord and Savior. He was an active and devoted member of the Awakenings Church in Smithfield, where he found fellowship and a sense of community.

Those who knew David will fondly remember his kind and gentle soul. He gave his heart generously without reservations, always speaking kind words and finding the good in everyone he met. David truly had a heart of gold. His ability to light up a room, his beautiful smile, and his unconditional love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.

David's interests were diverse and reflected his zest for life. He relished the thrill of riding dirt bikes, an activity that allowed him to feel the wind on his face and the freedom of the open road. His dedication to maintaining a healthy lifestyle was evident in his enjoyment of working out at the gym, where he was both a familiar face and an encouraging presence.

Loving, funny, and faith-filled are the words that best describe David. His laughter was infectious, and his spirit was unbreakable. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.

David E. DiPietro, Jr. lived a life full of love and laughter, and though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave. His journey on earth may have ended, but the impact of his life will resonate for generations to come.
