Judy Madiera Shaffer, 79, of Bloomingburg passed February 14, 2025, at the Adena Fayette Medical Center following a brief illness.

Judy was born February 9, 1946, in Hamilton County, Ohio to the late Richard and Catherine (Osborn) Horan. She was known for her wonderful home-cooked meals, especially her mouth-watering meatloaf.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James and Richie Horan.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Lee Shaffer; son, Richard Humphrey; stepchildren, Danny Shaffer and Maggie (Gary) Chaney; grandchildren, Meredith, Madison, and Alisse; sisters, Connie Blankenshift, Tina Wethington, Kim Burkhardt, and Barb Stout; as well as her many friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service is planned for 1pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday from 12pm until the time of service.
