JOHNATHAN SHELLADY

MUSCATINE, IOWA – Johnathan Dallton Shellady, 17, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Unity Point, Muscatine.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Johnathan was born on September 17, 2007, in Iowa, the son of Kasandra Orr and Michael Shellady.

He enjoyed hanging out with friends, listening to Juice World and Snoop Dogg, playing basketball, video games, wrestling, and nighttime walks. He was a Vikings fan, very energetic, loved to dance and sing to make people laugh, and was very high spirited. Lilly says, ‘My brother liked to twerk.’ Johnathan loved his family and school; he was a genius in math and was working towards his GED. He had a smile like his dad and was very close to his grandma Sheila Smith.

Johnathan will be missed by his parents, Kasandra Orr and Michael Shellady; his siblings, Mitchell Shellady, Emma Shellady, Lilly Shellady, and foster sister, Alissa Devilla; grandma Sheila Smith; great grandparents, Linda and Richard Orr; Uncles, Kevin Stuart, Allen Smith, Joseph Smith, and Matthew Orr; and Aunt Tiffany Smith.

He is preceded in death by his grandma Tina Staats; Grandpas, Jeffrey Orr and Dennis Smith; and uncles, David Stuart and Steven Stuart.
