Martin Jackson Obituary

Martin Jackson, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 14, 2025, in Odessa, Texas. Born on November 4, 1968, in El Paso, Texas, Martin's vibrant spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew him throughout his 56 years.

A proud graduate of Odessa High School, Martin carried the lessons learned and friendships made there throughout his life. His love for wrestling was only matched by his passion for martial arts, a discipline he inherited from his father and joyfully passed down to his grandchildren. Martin's dedication to the art of Karate was evident in the way he lived his life—with focus, respect, and a continual pursuit of self-improvement.

Martin's presence was a source of stability and love for his family. He is survived by his daughters, Bonita, Brittanie, and Mariah Jackson; his son, Matthew Jackson; his brother, Lorenzo Jackson; and his sisters, Elida and Rosie Jackson. His legacy will also live on through his eight adoring grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons and love he imparted to them.

Known for his epic lectures, Martin had a unique way of imparting wisdom that was both profound and practical. His words were always delivered with kindness, leaving a lasting impact on his children and all who had the privilege of listening. Martin's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his guidance will be deeply missed.

Martin's zest for life was reflected in his colorful choices—lime green and black were his favorite colors, bringing a sense of energy and boldness to everything he did. His love for Chinese food was well-known among his family and friends, and many will fondly remember the joy and laughter shared over countless meals.

To describe Martin as loving, wise, and kind only begins to scratch the surface of the man he was. His gentle demeanor, combined with his strength of character, made him a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him. Martin's ability to connect with people, to truly see them and offer his support, was one of his most remarkable qualities.

As we say goodbye to Martin Jackson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. His influence will continue to be felt in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the memories cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Martin's journey through life was one of joy, learning, and an unwavering commitment to his family. His spirit will forever be a guiding force for those he leaves behind.

Martin's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. As we honor his memory, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will endure through the lives of his children, grandchildren, and all who were touched by his generous soul.
