Latonya Lanette Lane, 42, of Welch Street, Keyser, WV, went to be with the Heavenly Father on Friday, February 14, 2025, at her residence.
Born on April 24, 1982, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. Lane and Sherrizan Burnedett Flanagan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Tracy Gibson and Terresa Washington; her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Doretha Lane; and her maternal grandparents, John and Elsie Flanagan.
Ms. Lane was the cherished mother of her six children, whom she loved and adored with all her heart. Her love extended deeply to her grandsons, siblings, nieces, and nephews, and she held a special place in her heart for her mother, who passed away just 28 days prior to her elevation. Latonya's children shared that she had a deep passion for singing, dancing, and listening to music, which provided her with a sense of peace and fulfillment. During her time in Albany, New York, she was employed by various businesses in different positions, such as culinary departments and customer service. Additionally, she was employed by Goodwill in Keyser for an extended period.
Surviving are two sons, Malaki D. Richardson, of Augusta, WV, and Karim R. Tillery, of Keyser; four daughters, Briana D. Darden, of Martinsburg, WV, and Szbre L. D. Darden, Brooklyn, U. L. Tillery, and Elizabeth K. Tillery, all of Keyser; two grandsons, Armani Arthur and An'Dre Richardson; a sister, Yatonia Patterson, of Kingsport, TN; four brothers, Terrell Washington, of Keyser, Antonio Lane, of Frostburg, MD; Ralph Lane, of Chesterfield, VA, and Robert Lane, of Richmond, VA; a special friend, Tonya Perkins; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 2-5 p.m. at the Nancy Hanks Post # 3518, VFW, 179 Armstrong Street Keyser. The family invites all family and friends to attend.
