Earl Steelman, 86, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away under the loving care of Hospice Home in Jackson on Friday, February 14, 2025, He was born on July 26, 1938, to the late Earl L. and Olive (Ortman) Steelman.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years, Dee (Albrecht) Steelman. Also surviving are his son Paul (Joy) Steelman and his daughter Lisa; his grandchildren Meagan (James) Preston, Nathan Steelman, Joshua Steelman and Jeremy Steelman, and 10 great grandchildren. Earl is also survived by a brother, Fred (Jackie) Steelman, several nieces and nephews and special friends Lana Steelman and Marlene Sharrer.

Earl enlisted in the United States Army in 1958 and spent his time in the service as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne.

Originally born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1964 Earl moved, along with his new wife Dee, to Michigan ultimately locating in Jackson, Michigan in 1979. Earl spent most of his working years as an over the road truck driver and retired from Aunt Millie's Bakery.

Per Earl's wishes cremation has taken place and no funeral will be held. A celebration of Earl's life will be held for his family at a later date.
