Billy G. Tucker (92) passed away peacefully in his home on February 14.
He will now join his wife Hazel Tucker (2020) and sister Danna Tucker (1995) in eternity.
He is survived by two daughters Susan Williams(Jim) and Sheila Lile and two grandchildren
Zach and Jake(Gabriel) and three great grandchildren Zoey, Chloe and Finn.
Bill was raised on an Apple Orchard in Wickliffe, Kentucky and moved to Louisville, KY
when he ran out of work to live close to his sister, Danna. He had various jobs before
starting his own business, Bill Tucker Construction. He moved to La Grange, Ky in 1971
to continue his business until he retired in 1997. You cannot drive far in Oldham County
without seeing some of his buildings and projects which he was very proud of.
He served as a Magistrate for 17 years. He served on the fiscal Court and TCCAA from
2015-2024 on the Board of Directors and was appointed to the Oldham County
Sheriff Steve Sparrow Merit Board from March 2021 and resigned in July 2024.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand in the community.
Bill was a long time member of DeHaven Memorial Baptist Church and was actively involved in the church.
Visitation will be at the Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, KY on Thursday February 20th from 4 PM to 7PM.
The service will be at DeHaven Memorial Baptist Church in La Grange, KY on Friday February 21st at 12 noon
with a grave side service to follow.
