It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Victor Manuel Olvera. He departed this life peacefully at his home on February 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after courageously battling cancer for nearly six years.   

Victor was born on December 20, 1966, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. He later moved to Dallas, Texas, where he grew his family and cultivated many cherished memories.   

He was the beloved husband of Norma Olvera for 37 years, his partner and love of his life.   

Victor is survived by his devoted wife, Norma Olvera, his daughter Karen Rodriguez and her husband, his son Victor Olvera and his wife and his grandkids Ethan, Victor, and Evelyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Sylvia, Jorge, Mercedes, Luis, Mauricio, Aracely, Enrique, Gabriela, Juan Carlos y Elda, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.   

Victor was known for his ever-present smile, quick wit, and remarkable sense of humor. He was deeply loved by all who knew him. He embodied a strong moral character, and his generous spirit and loving nature were evident in everything he did. Victor was a man of great heart, who would do anything for his family. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including camping, motorcycle riding, and sharing laughter and camaraderie with his family, often with a beer in hand, gathered around the grill and firepit. Though his physical presence is gone, the cherished memories we hold dear will forever keep him alive in our hearts. His passing leaves a void, but we are blessed to have known and loved him.
