Ivis “Dee” Spence

February 5, 1952 – February 14, 2025

Ivis “Dee” Spence, 73, of Spring City, TN, passed away on February 14, 2025, at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 5, 1952, in Brooklyn, NY, Dee had a deep love for her family, animals, and tending to her plants. She found joy in the simple moments of life, always nurturing those around her with kindness and care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Martina Sanchez; her brother, Ramon Sanchez; and her great-grandson, Grayson Glass.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert Spence of Spring City, TN; her children, Thomas Spence (Dunlap, TN), Mariah Spence, Ruth Spence, and Nicole Spence (Dunlap, TN), and Amanda Tronsor (Spring City, TN); her brothers, Juan Sanchez (Baltimore, MD), Juan “Ito” Sanchez (Myrtle Beach, SC), and Anthony Sanchez (Harrisburg, PA); her grandchildren, Sierra Glass (Spring City, TN), Teah Glass (Soddy Daisy, TN), Micah Spence (Dayton, TN), Braylin Spence (Dunlap, TN), and Brooklyn Tronsor (Spring City, TN); and her great-grandchildren, Bentley, Braxton, Legend, and Atlas Glass (Spring City, TN). She also leaves behind several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dee’s love and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Services to honor her life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 23rd in the funeral home chapel with Bro. James Eggert officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
