Dale Martin Obituary


Dale Martin, 87, of Ephrata, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Zerbe Retirement Community.

He was the husband of the late Ethel M. Eisenhour Martin who died in 2016. Born in Blue Ball, he was the son of the late Harvey Z. and Esther Elizabeth “Betty” Martin.

Dale had been the former co- owner of Zimmerman Manufacturing and retired in 2002. He was a member of the Hinkletown Mennonite Church. Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the East End Hunting Club for over 50 years. He enjoyed metal detecting and was a member of the Lancaster Research and Recovery Club. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, reading and playing cards and board games

Surviving are two daughters, Wendy wife of Paul Means, and Donna Martin; a son Terry husband of Cher Kent Martin; four grandchildren, Sherri Stoltzfus, Terri wife of Jim Scarle, Paul D. Means III husband of Jen and Emily Kent; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Ann Halley, Nelda Bauder, Willa (Luke) Ulrich, Norma Knowles, Myrna (Willis) Eberly, and Lorin Martin. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol Jean, and by brothers Lynn, Dean and a sister Lucy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, at 2:00 P.M. at the Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Highway, Ephrata, PA. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
