Jon Anthony Dome, 52, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on February 14, 2025, following a battle with Diabetes.

Jon was born on June 14, 1972, in Brazil, Indiana the son of Marcella “Marci” (Persinger) Rush. Jon graduated from Northview High School with the class of 1990. He then graduated, with honors, from Indiana University with a degree in Public and Environmental Affairs and Public Policy in 1994. Jon found his passion for law while working for attorney Jim McDonald. Mostly, he enjoyed working in estate law, which he did for 10 years. He worked with Ed “Slick” Griffin to begin Hoosier Towing which he later purchased. He has owned and operated the towing business for more than 15 years. Most of all, Jon enjoyed Racing. He raced for C.J. Rayburn Racing in the Dirt Late Models Series. For the past several years he had raced on his own until his health failed and he had to retire. Even though he was no longer able to be in the drivers seat, Jon’s passion continued. He attended races as much as he could and especially helping others in their ventures.

He is survived by his mother Marci Rush and husband Ernie; aunt Cyndi Lauther and husband Michael; uncle Jim Persinger and wife Bonnie; as well as many close friends.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Services will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Ernie Rush officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Restlawn Cemetery.
