Funeral services for Beverly Tunnell “Deanie” Granniss will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Fairfield Baptist Church, 110 North Dogwood Lane, Dry Prong, Louisiana under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Mark Breland officiating. Interment to follow at Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Dry Prong, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.

Beverly Tunnell “Deannie” Granniss, age 92 of Colfax, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 14, 2025 at her home in Colfax, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Granniss; her son, Thomas Lawayne Powell; and her grandson, Jason Carlshires.

Mrs. Granniss is survived by her daughters, Sharon Thorne, Charlene Shires, Eva Danzy (Greg); her 11 grandchildren; her numerous great grandchildren; her brother, Thomas “Bill” Tunnell (Mitzi); her many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

An outgoing lady, Deanie lived a long and loving life who possessed a huge and caring heart, giving to all those in need. She was compassionate to all she came in contact with. To know her was to love her and to be fed by her, as she was known to let none go hungry that visited. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
