Steven Ray Wilde, age 72 of Edison, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, surrounded by his family at Woodside Village.

Steven was born on October 29, 1952 to Verlin Daniel Wilde and Edna May Thomas in Wichita Falls, TX.

Steven was a jokester, and loved driving his wife, Tracy, and son, Phin, absolutely bonkers. He would always try to sit in Phin’s chair, despite having several of his own perfectly good chairs to pop-a-squat in. Despite his goofy nature, he was always willing to drop what he was doing and help someone in need, family or friend. He loved working on cars, and was an excellent mechanic. He was definitely quite the character. Steven loved his children dearly, his family was very important to him. He will be missed by all those who had the honor and privilege to know him while he was here.

Steven is survived by his wife, Tracy, and their son, Phin; previous wife, Sue Larick and their son, Steve (Jackie) Wilde; previous wife, Laura Wilde, and their children: Randy “Rusty” (Sara), Kim, and Valerie (Brandon) Wilde; grandchildren: Rachel, Sam and Addison; siblings: William Glenn Wilde, Karl Alan Liming, Wanda Lee Rupright, and Loretta Marie Mathews; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlin Wilde and Edna Thomas; and siblings Charles Thomas Liming, Thomas Charles Wilde, and Bobbi Jean Liming.

A memorial service will take place at Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead, 67 N Main Street, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10 AM.
