Michael Wayne “Mikey” Gamble, 13, of Westwood, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at his home. Mikey was known for his infectious laughter and his kind, caring nature.

Mikey was born to Bobbie Byrd and Wayne Carson Gamble on March 2, 2011, in Ashland, Kentucky.

Mikey attended Fairview High School. He had a deep passion for music; you could often find him freestyling lyrics or playing the guitar. His creative spirit also led him to enjoy video games.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles “Bobby” Jenkins, and great-grandfather, Jerry Bullion; his cousin, Dwayne Horsley; his buddy, Greg Adams; and his good friend, Mike Kiser.

Survivors include his favorite person that loved him more than anything in the world, his grandmother, Peggy Jenkins of Westwood; his mother, Bobbie Sioux Byrd (Amanda) of Ashland, KY; his father, Wayne Carson Gamble of Greenup; his brothers, Bobby “doodlebug” Stephens (Maddie Caskey) of Flatwoods, and Dakota “Cody” Stephens of Greenup; ; aunt and uncle, Jessica “Jessy” and Aaron Neace of Ashland; his great grandmother, Dorothy Jean Bullion of Greenup; Mikey looked up to all his close cousins, Amy & Faith Roden of Greenup, Chris Horsley of Ashland, Aaron Neace Jr and Sara Duff of Ashland, Wesley Neace of Ashland, Jackson “Jax” Neace of Ashland; His grandparents Frank and Saberia Gamble of Greenup; his niece GraceLynn Carter of Greenup His sisters Kendra, Mashala, and Cierra Gamble all of Greenup; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Caniff Funeral Home by Bro. Earl Price. Burial will follow in Bullion & Barker Cemetery in Greenup, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6 – 8 PM at Caniff Funeral Home.
