Nancy C. Calsyn, 87, of Mineral, IL, formerly of East Moline, IL, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, in Mineral. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Private committal services will be at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, East Moline.

Nancy Van Opdorp was born August 2, 1937, in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Walter and Marie Neiswander Van Opdorp. She married Raymond Calsyn March 13, 1965, in Rock Island, IL. He passed away August 16, 2015.

She and her husband started Calsyn & Sons Inc in 1983.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Garrison, Holiday, FL, Ann (John) Bull, East Moline, Ray Calsyn Jr. (Brian Haessler), Mineral, and Michael (Sue) Calsyn, Silvis, IL; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, David, Timothy, and Walkie Van Opdorp, Melanie Van Opdorp, Davette Malufka, and Cindy Phlypo; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Duke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Carol Stottler; great grandson, Augustus Garrison; son-in-law, Joel Garrison; and her dogs, Sam, Roscoe, and Max.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
