Robert Peter Grady, 79, of Kinston passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Grady; sons, Jeffrey and Wayne Grady; mother and father, Barbara and Elwood Grady.

Robert attended Grainger High School and graduated with the class of 1964. He worked with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW-Union Electrician) Local 495. After retirement he helped coach Baseball and Softball in Lenoir County for many years. He had many hobbies, some of his favorites included fishing and collecting sport cards. Robert loved all sports, he was a diehard UNC Tarheel Fan. His greatest love of all was being the best Papa to his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Vanessa Grady, Bobbie Hansen (Mark) and Dana Grady; grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, Hunter, Harrison, Kate, Kendal, Allie, Makayla, Gabriel, Isabella, Hayden; eleven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
