Nancy J. Robinson, 83, of Victory Highway, Coventry, RI, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. Born on December 20, 1941, in Providence, RI, she was the wife of the late Richard G. Robinson and the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha (Ewell) Duxbury.

Nancy was an amateur interior decorator and a former part-time employee of Dunkin’ Donuts, Coventry, RI. But she mostly prided herself on making a warm and welcoming home for her family, and everyone was family. It was believed she had fairies that helped her during the day, as she miraculously could move a whole couch from upstairs to downstairs, have the entire house rearranged in the seven hours her children were at school, and still have dinner on the table on time. Her children often came home from school to find their rooms were no longer where they left them that morning, and the scavenger hunt would be on to find where all their things had moved to. Nancy loved to spend as much time as possible with all of her grandchildren. She would shower them with affection and sang them many songs that have come to represent what love is to them all. Nancy had a song for every conversation and would burst out singing whenever a word struck her. She loved going for Sunday drives every day of the week. Nancy, Dick, Jon and their beloved dog, and Nancy’s devoted companion, Sophie, especially loved traveling in their motor home, spending time with friends in Florida and New Hampshire, and at their daughter Sheryl’s, in Maine, easily making lifelong friends everywhere they went.  She had a beautiful smile and a warm laugh that she shared generously with everyone. Her family will miss her dearly, but are grateful she went to be with her valentine, who absolutely adored her, and has been waiting for his bride for too long.

Nancy is survived by four children; Scott Robinson and his partner Jaime, Sheryl Tennent and her husband Sean, Jodi Mcdonough and her husband Jon, and Jon Robinson, eleven grandchildren; Nicolle Moore and her wife Amanda, Justin Robinson and his fiancé Justin, Sean Tennent and his wife Valentina, Riley Tennent, Quinn McCulley, and her fiancé Chris, Sienna McCulley and her partner Eli, Logan McCulley and Declan McCulley, Max Richter, Julia Richter and Luna Moore, four great grandchildren; Brenia Gravier, Olivia Gravier, Delilah Gravier, Nathaniel Moore and two great great grandchildren; Sakari and Arthur.

Nancy‘s service will be private, with a celebration of life to be held later.
