Julia Penderghest Obituary

We remember our dear mother Julia Penderghest whose spirit peacefully departed from us on Friday,

February 14, 2025. She has left an indelible mark on our hearts and of all who were fortunate enough to

have known her.

Julie was the beloved wife of the late Walter D. Penderghest. Together they shared 65 years of

marriage before Walter’s passing in 2021.

Before moving to Chalfont, Julie spent many years in Philadelphia where she was born in 1934. She was

the daughter of the late Stanley and Lillian York and sister to the late Stanley York Jr (.

Before retiring, Julie worked at Peter Hellberg Company assisting in growing the most beautiful

carnations and Rainbow World as a Teacher’s Aid. Her favorite moments in life were spent with her

family. She is survived by two daughters; Linda Bush (Fred) and Donna Mirack (Joe) and one son

Michael Penderghest. She was most famously known as Mom-Mom to her five Grandchildren; Fred

Bush, Melanie Bush (Adam), Andrew Bush (Amber), Noelle Beagle (Matt), Grace Mirack and to her five

Great Grandchildren; Kylie Bush, Kira Heidenreich, Ricky Bush, Nathan Lewis and Jayden Lewis.

Throughout her life, Julie enjoyed the simple things in life. When she wasn’t attending her

Grandchildren’s sports and school events, competing in bowling leagues or being a spectator at her

husband’s softball games, Julie enjoyed her trips to Wildwood, Lancaster, Jamaica, Dominican Republic

and just strolling around the mall. In her later years, spending time with her family, going out to dinner

and watching Hallmark movies were her favorite pastimes.

There will be no service. A celebration of Julie’s life will be held privately at a later date.
