Angela G. (Garvey) Caffrey, 79, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Hospice Home, North Carolina.

Born on January 2, 1946, in Pittston, PA, she was the youngest daughter of the Vincent and Angela (Gorman) Garvey.

After receiving her Bachelor’s degree at Misericordia University, she went on to be a teacher for many years first at Old Famers Road School and later at Wantage Elementary where she was beloved by her students and colleagues. Angela loved her family above all else, she will be remembered for her warm smile, family game nights and her dedication to her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John J Caffrey Sr.; sister, Mary Scott; and brother Vincent Garvey.

Surviving to cherish Angela’s memory is son, John Caffrey and wife Jennifer, Branchburg, NJ; Christa Kallam and husband Michael, High Point, NC; grandchildren, Ethan Caffrey, Maddie Kallam, Noah Caffrey, Michael Kallam, and Vincenzo Caffrey; and sister, Elizabeth Garvey.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21 from 4 PM - 6 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 22, at 10 AM, with Father Andrew officiating. Interment will at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Dallas, immediately follow the service
