Peacefully passed away at Valley Manor, Barry's Bay on Friday February 14, 2025 at the age of 85.  Trudy Wey, beloved wife of the late Joseph Schmidt. Cherished Mom of Sharon (Dan Boudreau) and Tom (Anita) and loving mother in law of Charlene Schmidt and Randy Gilchrist.  Dear Nana of  Adam, Justin, Amanda (Brandon Paynter), Lauren (Rich Martel), Natalie (Cole Stewart), Thomas (Melissa), Julianne and Sarah.  Dear great-nana of Bradley, Adora, Paddy, Norah, Caroline and Abigail.  Cherished sister of Barbara (late Mike Steffler), Carolyn (late Curly Roche), Rosalinde (late Herb Hanna), Pat Wey and sister in law of Sandy. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her loving daughters Cathy (Randy) and Maria, her loving son Tim (Charlene) and her siblings David, Bill and Allyn.

A visitation will be held at the Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St S Renfrew on Friday February 21, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of Liturgy of the Word in the funeral home at 11:00 am.  Spring interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Douglas.  Donations in her memory may be made to Dementia Society of Renfrew County.
