Catherine Kay “Cathy” (Simcox) Saltsgaver, 65, of Mauckport, Indiana, died Friday, February 14, 2025, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born December 31, 1959 in Corydon, Indiana.  She was formerly employed at ICON Metal Forming in Corydon and as a truck driver.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome K. Simcox; her husband, Charlie Ray Smith, Sr.; her brother, Scott Simcox; and her sister, Marcia Riggs.

Survivors include her mother, Virginia Willcutt (Joseph); her daughter, Summer Dawn Welch (Chase); her step son, Charles Ray Smith, Jr.; her grandchildren, Dylan Welch and Dalton Welch; her sister, Darla Decker (Joey); her nephew, Alan Decker; and her niece, Katie Riggs.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Jerry Shelley will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Welch, Dalton Welch, Alan Decker, Kevin Crouse, Clint Sharp, Chase Welch, Bryson Simler and Jason Fillmore.
