Robert Paul Elliott, age 72, of Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Monday, September 8, 1952, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late Leroy Paul and Earthel Toller Elliott.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army and was responsible for bringing the first internet service to Lewis and surrounding counties, E.K.N.S. (Eastern Kentucky Network Services). He enjoyed golfing, watching NASCAR, bowling, playing Scrabble and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Taylor Hope Satkowski and four brothers, Howard White, George White, Bill White and Leroy White.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joann Carrington Elliott; two daughters, Bridget Satkowski (Matt Gallenstein) of Maysville, Kentucky, Pam (Wes) Ferrell of Vanceburg, Kentucky; 4 grandchildren, Samantha (Lucas)Hiler, Gabriel Ferrell, Ian Ferrell, Aras Ferrell; 1 great-granddaughter, Ruth Anne Hiler; one brother, Al Freeman (Theresa) Elliott of Ratcliff, Kentucky; two sisters, Sue Jackson of Seymore, Indiana, Kay (Alvin) Morgan of Tollesboro, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Rick Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens in Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, until the service hour, at Dickerson Funeral Home.

Military Honors will be conducted at the graveside by Monte Lewis Stamm Post 5438.

Wes Ferrell, Gabe Ferrell, Matt Gallenstein, Freeman Elliott, Lucas Hiler and Tony Carrington, will serve as pallbearers.

Harry Carrington, Donnie Evans and George Carrington will serve as honorary pallbearers.
