Constance A. “Connie” Hosier – Boyle, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 14, 2025. She was born on May 8, 1939, in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Carl & Catherine (Gibson) Lechner. She married Donald L. Hosier, on February 27, 1960, and he passed away on September 26, 1990. On September 14, 1996, she married John J. Boyle, her soulmate, and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2007.
Connie graduated from Kokomo High School in 1957 and had attended Kokomo Business College. She worked at South Side Lumber, the Kokomo Tribune, and she eventually retired on December 31, 1998 after 30 years at Northwestern School Corporation where she served as the administrative secretary to several superintendents. Connie was named Office Professional of the Year in 1998 by the Indiana Association of Educational Office Professionals. She served the association in many capacities, including as its president in 1990 ~ 1991. After her retirement, she and John spent several winters in Florida. Connie loved to play golf, and she was most proud of her two holes in one. She also loved to play cards with family and friends and was an avid Indiana University, Notre Dame, and Indianapolis Colts fan. She was most proud of her grandchildren and was often seen at their music and sporting events. Connie was a lifetime member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic minister and collection counter. She was a volunteer at Samaritan Caregivers and also served as secretary of the Kokomo chapter of RIPEA (Retired Indiana Public Employees Association). She had many close friends who were like family and very special to her. Some called her Connie, but many called her sister, friend, or mama.
Connie is survived by her son Michael T. (Lisa) Hosier of Kokomo; grandchildren Amanda K. Hosier (Brad Henry) of Walton and Christopher M. (Chelsea) Hosier of Kokomo; 2 great-grandchildren; step-sons Joseph P. (Kathy) Boyle of Noblesville, Thomas E. (Cathy) Boyle of Port Charlotte, Florida, Robert P. (Allison) Boyle of Beech Grove, and James D. (Denise) Boyle of Indianapolis; step-daughters, Christine R. (Jim) Baker of Kokomo, Susan E. (Pete) Stein of North Carolina, Kathy A. (Terry) Mosier of Brownsburg, and Carol J. (Gary) Goodnight of Cicero; along with 25 step-grandchildren and 60 step-great-grandchildren.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Carl & Catherine Lechner and two husbands Donald L. Hosier and John J. Boyle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2025, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 S. 200 West, Kokomo with Fr. Chris Shocklee the celebrant. Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3-6:30 pm Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, where a scripture service will be offered at 6:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Connie’s name to Samaritan Caregivers, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
