Michael Scott Perkins, age 68, of Kathleen, GA, passed away on February 14, 2025. He was born on October 13, 1956, in Jacksonville, FL, to Thomas and Viola Mae Perkins (Brown).

After completing high school, Michael proudly served in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked as a tool and dye machinist at Robins Air Force Base, where he eventually retired. Throughout his life, Michael dedicated himself to everything he did, always giving 100% effort in all his endeavors.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in nature. He enjoyed shooting his guns, gardening, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was also a talented woodworker, leather craftsman, and pen maker. His love for animals was endless, and his energy never seemed to fade—he was always on the move.

Above all, Michael cherished his time with family. His love and devotion to them were unmatched. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Viola Mae Perkins, and his beloved daughter, Christy Lynn Perkins.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, remembered by his grandson, Preston Scott Alford (Haley Lynn Owens) of Charleston, SC; great-grandson, Kade Jackson Perkins-Alford of Charleston, SC; his sister, Bretta Perkins of Monticello, GA; his brother, Mark Perkins of Macon, GA; and his girlfriend, Angel Payne of Kathleen, GA.

A visitation for Michael will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will officiate the service.

Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
