Patricia Rose Dewar (nee Felix) Obituary

With heavy hearts the family of Patricia Rose Dewar (nee Felix), formerly of Tide Head, announce her passing to her eternal rest February 14th, 2025 .

Pat was born in 1934 to Wilfred and Jean Felix and lived a full life in the communities of Campbellton, Atholville and Tide Head. She worked as a telephone operator until becoming a wife, mother and homemaker. In her later life she volunteered with and then was employed by Meals on Wheels. In addition to raising her family she found joy in sewing, knitting, quilting, cooking, pickling, and preserving the countless gallons of wild berries she loved to pick. In her later years she especially enjoyed the fellowship of her Christian community, the Tide Head community and spent countless hours making and teaching others to make quilts.

Pat leaves to mourn her children, Stephen Dewar (Jill) of Ottawa, Nancy Flanagan (Bryant) of Moncton, Carol Fanjoy (step daughter Allison) of Moncton and Tim Dewar (Marjorie) of Sussex. Pat was the proud and loving grandmother of Sarah (Rob) and Shane (Andrea) of Ottawa and Eric (Johanna) and Amy (Gerald) of Moncton. Much joy was added to her life by her great grandchildren, Colin, Fiona and Keiran Cummings of Ottawa, Allison and Shannon Dewar of Ottawa, Sam and Ava Flanagan of Moncton and Thomas and Lexi Burke of Moncton. Pat is survived by her dear sister Jessie Crossman of Tide Head, sister-in-law Annette and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was predeceased in 2021 by her loving husband of 69 years, Tom, brothers Fred, Allison and Gerald, sister Hazel Rose and son-in-law John Fanjoy.

Cremation is under the care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995). Interment will take place at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery in the spring.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mount Zion ARP Church, Parkinson Canada or charity of donor's choice.

The family would like to thank the kind staff of Monarch Hall Riverview and Pastor Michael Jaatinen for their compassionate care.
