Debra Ryals Sablatura Obituary

Debra R. Sablatura, 64, a resident of Zachary, LA, departed her earthly body on Valentimes Day, February 14, 2025. Debra was a loving and dedicated mother to her growing kids, taking them to distant cities for sports or modeling. Due to her love and care they both turned into model citizens and exemplary parents to her grands. She REALLY loved her 7 grands, it didn't matter how old they got, always insuring special treats and activities. She was a dedicated, skilled and hard worker in her technical field. "She could outwork 5 men or 10 women". She was a long-time employee of Jacobs Engineering and spent over 35 years working inside of the Exxon Mobil Refinery. Forced into retirement by COVID was especially difficult for her but with God's and John's help she overcame ALL obstacles. Her love and dedication to her husband, John, was beyond measure. And her love for her God and Savior was even beyond that. Yes she knew from the time she was 11 that God paid the price for her sins, past present and future, so that her heavenly inheritance was sealed by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2 & 4) "She was a generous and God loving soul, one of the strongest individuals I have had the privilege of knowing." She was God's Valentine and was John's only Valentine.
