Patricia A. (Oppenlander) Newman, 77, of Tinton Falls, NJ, was born at Monmouth Memorial Hospital, Long Branch, NJ, to Edward and Janet Oppenlander. Pat received her education through the Long Branch School System, graduating from high school in 1965. She attended the University of Massachusetts, receiving a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. She grew up in Long Branch, NJ and is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles (Buddy) Newman. They moved to Oakhurst, NJ, where they raised their family, Jeff (Tara) Newman, who resides in Oceanport, NJ and daughter, Sharon (Scott) Kay, who resides in Flemington, NJ. She leaves two granddaughters, Caroline L. Newman and Lilly C. Newman and two sisters, Ann Oppenlander (Neal Grolnic) and Judy )Jack) Dodds, both residing at Seabrook, Tinton Falls, NJ. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Thomas (Carol) Newman, South Carolina, and a sister-in-law, Judy Carter, Eatontown, NJ and one nephew, Chris (Suzie) Carter, West Long Branch, NJ. Funeral will be private.
