Curtis Glenn Luffman Obituary

With extremely heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Curtis G. Luffman, who left this world peacefully on February 14, 2025 after a courageous battle with an illness. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a friend to many.

Born on July 7, 1954, Curtis lived a life full of purpose, integrity, and hard work. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, embodying the strength and dedication that would define his entire life. After his service, he built a long and respected career at the North Anna and Surry Nuclear Power Plant, where he worked tirelessly for many years before retiring. Retirement never slowed him down. Always active, he found joy in being outdoors, tending to his yard, and keeping busy with projects—he was never one to sit still.

More than anything, he had a heart for helping others. Whether it was listening and offering a word of encouragement, or dropping everything to lend a hand, he never hesitated to step up when someone needed him. He poured his love and energy into his family, and nothing brought him more happiness than time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He also had a special way with kids. Babies, toddlers, and even the neighborhood kids were drawn to him like a magnet. Whether it was his gentle nature, his playful spirit, or simply the way he made everyone feel safe and loved, children always lit up around him. But no one adored him more than his grandkids, who saw him as their hero, their best buddy, and the person who would do anything to make them smile.

Curtis is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Judy Minter Luffman; his children, Amanda Munro (Allen Munro) and CJ Luffman (Kelly Luffman); and his four cherished grandchildren, (Lillian Munro, Draven Munro, Natalie Luffman, and Allison Luffman).

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unwavering love, his strong work ethic, and the way he made life brighter for those around him. Per his wishes, there will be no formal service. In honor of his memory, the family encourages you to spend time outside, tackle a project, or simply keep moving—just as he always did.

Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel is handling arrangements.
