Mr. Jerome M. Coombs of Hearts Desire passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear on Friday, February 14, 2025. Mr. Coombs was 70 years old.

He leaves to mourn his loving family:

Loving wife of 53 years: Wendy

Children: Sean & Tammy

Grandchildren: Christian, Emily, Adam, Michael, Matthew & Brittany

Siblings: Kimberly, Louise, Alex, Gerard, Alonzo & Rick

And a large circle of other relatives and friends

Predeceased by:

Parents: Michael & Loretta

Grandparents: Mary & Jack

Siblings: Loretta, Philomena, Alicia, Maryanne & Michael.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving to the Canadian Cancer Society. 

God saw you were getting tired,

and a cure was not to be,

so he put his arms around you and whispered,

"Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,

and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly,

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove us,

He only takes the best.
