Juanita Knight Shelley, age 74 of McColl, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Juanita was born on October 18, 1950, in Marlboro County. She was a daughter of the late Ralph and Bertha Robinson Knight. Juanita retired from Abbott Laboratories after thirty-two years. She loved music, cooking, and sewing. Juanita loved working in the yard and Macrame. She was also an avid sports fan. Most of all, Juanita loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Ray” Knight, Sr. and a sister, Rosa Mae Knight Fagala.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Henry Shelley of the home; sons, Mark Shelley (Karen) of McColl and Heath Shelley (Amy Brayboy) of Tatum; a daughter, Pam Carnes of McColl; a brother, Ralph Knight, Jr (Ruby) of McColl; a sister, Denise Groff (Dennis) of McColl; grandchildren, Eric, Alivia, Sierra (Dexter), Austin (Jacy Chavis), Landon, Ethan, Gage, and Ryleigh; great grandchildren, Erica, Jaylyn, Paisley, Paris, River, Swayze, Emma, Karson, Kyson; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.

A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.
