Steven “Steve” J. Bradley, 71, of Groveland, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. He was born on November 19, 1953, in Dubuque, Iowa, to John Francis and Patricia Ann (Weidemann) Bradley. They preceded him in death, along with his son, Justin Bradley.
He is survived by his companion, Sherry Bradley of Morton; daughter, Nicole Woo; granddaughter, Summer Woo both of Groveland; stepdaughter, Brittany Hoerr of Peoria; siblings, Debra (Keith) Garmon of Pekin, Thomas (Dina) Bradley of Pekin, Terry (Linda) Vaughn of Manito and Joyce Bradley of Bartonville; nieces and nephew, Tawni Bradley (who was also his goddaughter), Danielle Sidders, Haleigh Fuller and Wesley Bradley; and great-nephews, Reid Sidders and Mack Fuller.
Steve graduated from Pekin Community High School and dedicated 50 years of his life to his work as a boilermaker and was a proud member of Boilermakers Local 60. He also worked for Pekin Energy for 13 years, OSF, and was a consultant for NRG. Outside of work, he had a passion for riding his Harley and loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting. Some of his best moments were spent sitting on his back deck, enjoying a cigar and good company. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.
He was of the Catholic faith and went to Sacre Coeur.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
