Darren Louis Willette was born January 22, 1977 in Danbury Connecticut. He spent his early childhood in Oak Cliff. Darren’s passion for skateboarding began in elementary school and continued throughout his life. He would skate religiously no matter the weather and glide across the concrete. His family moved to Duncanville, where he graduated from High School in 1996.
Darren’s talent and creative energy bled over into music and the visual arts. His studies of graffiti and chiaroscuro are treasured by the family. Darren was the bass guitar player for the bands Tindell Effect and Shackled. Both bands played throughout the DFW metroplex reaching into Oklahoma.
Darren is predeceased by his father Robert Louis Willette, grandparents Ed and Catherine Angell, and Jeanette Keniston.
Darren worked for 20 years as a manager at J&G Trybus Group in Dallas, TX.
Darren is survived by his daughter Hannah Renee Willette, His stepson Austin Vaughan Barnett (Marinna) and granddaughter Madilyn, former spouse and bestie Jennifer Lee Willette, sister Dana Michele Willette, brother Drew Austin and his mother Valarie Joyce Willette.
Darren’s family are forever grateful to the medical professionals of John Peter Smith Hospital. We will never forget your kindness and caring for our son, brother, husband, father and friend.
