Linda Jane Smith, 74, of Seymour passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was born October 30, 1950 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Herbert K. and Ruth E. (Stewart) Smith.

Linda graduated from Seymour High School and then proudly served in the United States Army. She was honorably discharged from her military service, and in 1974 went to work for Cosco Manufacturing (Durell Juvenile Group). Linda was a Group Leader at Cosco for 40 years, finally retiring. Remembered as a hard worker who was always active, Linda enjoyed her retirement, going to concerts at Little Nashville. She saw all her favorite artists including Conway Twitty, the Statler Brothers, and George Strait. Linda enjoyed travelling, especially to Florida and Tennessee. She also loved amusement parks, such as Kings Island, and was a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show. She even got to visit the Mayberry Café in Danville, Indiana. Linda had three cats who were very precious to her: Cleo, Myra, and later Sissy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left behind to cherish Linda’s memory are her daughter, Kristy (Randy) Davidson; two nephews, Robert Stout and Brad Stout; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; her sister and best friend, Sandy Whitehead; three aunts; and two uncles.

All services will be private. Linda will be laid to rest with military honors in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Services have been entrusted to Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.
